The AHA’s ACLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). It teaches EKG Rhythm recognition and treatment, medications, advanced airway management, and team dynamics.
The AHA’s ACLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who need advanced cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This course is expected to take about 4 hours to complete the course.
Blended Learning (https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-acls), followed by Hands On Skills Session. Heartcode ACLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students ACLS knowledge and skills.
HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s ACLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.
